You know an actor wants to get a movie made when they use interviews to announce financing opportunities. That’s what Elizabeth Olsen did for Todd Solondz‘s film Love Child a few months ago when she spoke with Vulture. She said at the time, “If anyone’s writing about this interview, if you guys want to make a big, bold notice that says, ‘Todd Solondz needs money to make a movie,’ that would be great!” Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell were previously attached to Love Child back in 2021, but without financing, they couldn’t commit. Currently, Olsen and Charles Melton are attached to star, and hopefully Solondz gets the funding he needs. The great auteur (of Welcome to the Dollhouse and Happiness fame), who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his film Palindromes, spoke to MovieWeb about Olsen and their potential film.
