Multiplatinum recording artist Lizzo is gearing up to play the role of a lifetime. The Grammy award-winning artist will tell the story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe in Amazon MGM Studios‘s Rosetta. The “Truth Hurts” singer will play Thorpe and produce the project in development with Kevin Beisler, Significant Productions’ Nina Yang Bongiovi, and Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker.
