A new image from Spike Lee‘s Highest 2 Lowest, a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s classic crime thriller High and Low, offers a first look at Denzel Washington‘s character. He is pictured on the subway, wearing a hooded jacket, a New York Yankees cap, and sunglasses. It was previously revealed that Washington would be playing a new version of Toshiro Mifune’s character, Kingo Gondo, from the 1963 Japanese movie. However, instead of being a shoemaker, he will play “a music mogul with his own label and his reputation as the best ears in the business.”
