Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Nonnas, Vince Vaughn‘s star-studded new comedy that promises to serve up some big laughs when it hits the streaming service on May 9. The dramedy centers around Joe Scaravella (Vaughn), who opens a restaurant following the loss of his mother and hires four Italian grandmothers, aka “nonnas,” as chefs. The plot is based on the real-life owner of the Staten Island eatery Enoteca Maria, whose story is brought to the screen by Liz Maccie, who penned the script, and her husband Stephen Chbosky, who directed the feature.
