When Without Remorse premiered, it seemed to be a perfect storm of a strong lead star in Michael B. Jordan, a writer with some hefty hits to his name in Taylor Sheridan, and a plot based on a novel by Jack Ryan creator, Tom Clancy. Fans anticipating a raw espionage tale featuring John Clark—one of Clancy’s most notable characters after Ryan – were eager to see how the novel would transition to screen after other Clancy hits such as Clear and Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears. But the film’s release drew mixed-to-negative reviews, with critics and audiences calling out the movie’s departure from the source material. But, four years on, and the movie is discovering a new audience streaming on Hulu.
