‘American Psycho’ Director Mary Harron Says the Film Was Misunderstood by “Wall Street Bros”

Back in 2000, the outlandish horror satire American Psychoarrived. The extremely violent satirical horror movie touched on the nerves of corporate America and depicted the dark side of the financial grinding machine of Wall Street. However, according to director Mary Harron, American Psycho has largely been misunderstood for many years, as “Wall Street bros” have missed the point of the movie, failing to see that Patrick Bateman, lead character and serial killer, is actually making fun of them.
