Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow is trading dinosaurs for aliens as he is set to direct a new film focused on Area 51. Since breaking onto the scene with 2012’s Safety Not Guaranteed, Trevorrow has become an in-demand director, particularly following the box office smash hit Jurassic World. While The Book of Henry performed terribly with critics and potentially lost him his Star Wars directing gig, his last film, Jurassic World: Dominion, still managed to pull in $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Given the billion-dollar grosses of his two Jurassic World films, he seemingly has been given carte blanche and is cashing it in for an original movie.
