Incredibles 3 will mark a first for the franchise, as creator Brad Bird will not helm the upcoming Pixar film. Created by Bird as a loving homage to superheroes and spy films, The Incredibles was a significant change for Pixar animation in 2004. It was the first film centered on a fully human protagonist and was the first time the studio brought in outside talent to direct.
